The Coaching Process
The Three Fold Proprium Coaching System™

Commitment: Every day, you must make a commitment to yourself. A commitment to take an action(s) to reach the goals you’ve set in place. Some days this means getting a lot done and some days it means getting one thing done through all the noise of life. What matters is you take action every day.
Focus: A key barrier to becoming who we want to be is losing focus. On this journey together, you will learn to maintain focus on your whole person. We will help you learn to focus on staying in a healthy balance, given all the decisions, choices, and actions you must make on any given day.
Intentionality: Commitment and focus are not enough to achieve your goals. Acting out of habit, rather than with intention, impacts us as individuals and our relationships. Yet, constantly scrutinizing every choice we make isn’t possible. Learning to be focused and committed while acting intentionally is what makes the Whole Mindset possible. Achieving the Whole Mindset is about both making daily choices AND developing the required skills. In our journey together you will learn the skills necessary to achieve and Maintain the Whole Mindset that works for you.
At Proprium Coaching being a Whole Person means balancing who we are across three aspects of Self or what we refer to as CSR. The three selves of the CSR consist of:
Cognitive Self: The mental self including our logical and emotional selves
Somatic Self: The physical self including our body and how we think about and interact with our body
Relational Self: The self as it relates to the world around us including people, situations, work, play and spirit*
The Proprium Whole Person coaching is focused around helping you understand your personal CSR. Whole Person coaching to CSR consists of:
- Your current CSR strengths and weaknesses
- Understanding how you currently find balance (or if you find any balance) across your CSR
- Begin to understand where you want to go with your CSR (this can and usually does change as we go deeper into coaching)
- Learn what a healthy balance of your CSR looks like
- Focus on developing and strengthening your toolset of skills to balance your CSR
* Spirit (the relationship between the self and the spiritual) and religion are two different concepts that complement each other and can abide in the same space without conflict no matter one’s religious beliefs.
Understanding Self: Change journeys start with self-discovery. Our process is no different, to understand how to get where you’re going, you must understand where you’re starting from. Once you understand yourself, you can better understand the goals you’ve chosen, and begin to learn how to achieve the goals you’ve set.
Practicing Balance: Once we have a fuller picture of who you are, we can start to understand where you’re personally out of balance. Everyone’s version of being Whole Person is different. Some areas of balance you’ll concentrate on are identifying and working through your personal limiting beliefs, creating a new perspective on how you interact with your world and relationships, and promoting intentional practices to maintain a healthy balance amongst your CSR systems.
Building Tools: To maintain balance across your Whole Mindset and Whole Person, you’ll need to strengthen and add to your existing set of life-skill tools. Key life-skill tools we’ll develop together: knowing the right tool for each situation, identifying whether or not you’re in balance, the right tool(s) to maintain and/or return to balance, the impact of your environment(s) on your balance, and utilizing your Whole Mindset skills to build and maintain you as a Whole Person.
